Reaching solutions through Counseled Mediation™
Many couples will find that working with the mediator will be all they need to reach a settlement and to have the mediator draw up the written settlement agreement. However, for more complex cases we recommend using Counseled Mediation™, our process for working together with lawyers, financial planners and mental health professionals to find divorce solutions. Counseled Mediation™ incorporates the benefits of the collaborative law process without requiring your lawyer, if you choose to hire one, to withdraw from the case if you don’t settle.

The Mediation Center, Inc. was first formed as a Virginia Corporation in 1987. Since then we have offered mediation services to the Fredericksburg community as well as the Counties of Stafford, Prince William, Spotsylvania, Culpeper, King George, Caroline and Orange.
The Center uses only experienced, professional mediators who have the education and mediation training to keep your mediation focused on creative problem-solving. When the complexities require, our mediators are experienced and proficient at using and integrating experts (CPAs, CFPs, engineers, lawyers, etc.) seamlessly into the flow of the problem-solving process.
We also offer training and coaching in co-parenting, communication and the divorce process.
We usually schedule a session within 72 hours. Day or evening appointments are available.
