Reaching Solutions Through Counseled Mediation™
Many couples will find that working with the mediator will be all they need to reach a settlement and to have the mediator draw up the written settlement agreement. However, for more complex cases we recommend using Counseled Mediation™, our process for working together with lawyers, financial planners and mental health professionals to find divorce solutions. Counseled Mediation™ incorporates the benefits of the collaborative law process without requiring your lawyer, if you choose to hire one, to withdraw from the case if you don’t settle.

About Virginia Mediation
Virginia Mediation has been helping people in the greater Fredericksburg area since 1987 and is located at 1119 Caroline Street in historic downtown Fredericksburg, Virginia. Since the pandemic, we have expanded our service area, and we now offer our services to individuals in need across the entire state of Virginia through virtual mediation.
We have background knowledge and experience in the laws and common problems involving such diverse areas as divorce, child custody, employment (sexual harassment, EEO, ADA), corporations, construction, real estate, probate, personal injury, etc. Our goal is to maximize your chances of solving the problems that bring you to the mediation table. Our highly trained mediators work with you with the expressed goal of helping parties productively navigate conflict and find creative solutions to your problems. In particularly complex cases, our mediators are experienced and proficient at using and integrating experts (CPAs, CFPs, engineers, lawyers, etc.) into the process to aid in the problem-solving process.
